Introduction of temporary traffic organization around the Krzesiny junction

Due to the progress of works on the expansion of the Poznań motorway bypass by 3 lanes in each direction, on September 29, changes will be introduced in the traffic organization around the Poznań Krzesiny junction. Drivers are asked to follow temporary traffic management signs, adjust their speed to road conditions and drive carefully.

On September 29, there will be a change in traffic organization around the Poznań Krzesiny junction, between kilometers 169 and 172 of the A2 motorway. Vehicle traffic will be directed as follows:

• Drivers traveling towards Warsaw will have two lanes at their disposal on the southern road of the motorway: the right one, intended for all vehicles, will be routed along a standard emergency lane, while the left one will be wide enough to allow only passenger cars (trucks are prohibited), will be routed along a standard free lane
• Drivers coming from Świecko and want to exit at the Poznań Krzesiny junction towards the S11 road and B. Krzywoustego Street in Poznań will have 2 exclusion lanes at their disposal
• Drivers joining motorway traffic towards Warsaw at the Poznań Krzesiny junction are asked to pay particular attention due to the shortened merging lane as well as the fact that traffic organization has changed on the final section of the collector and distribution road – a “fading” of the right lane will be introduced, and not the left one as before.

• Drivers driving towards Świecko will have two lanes at their disposal: the right one, intended for all vehicles, will be routed along a collector and distribution road, while the left one, wide enough to allow only passenger cars (trucks are prohibited), will be routed along emergency lane of the northern road of the motorway

Within the work area, the speed limit will be 80 and 60 km/h, respectively.

Road workers will start introducing signs and other elements with limited traffic organization on September 28.

NOTE: drivers going towards Warsaw and want to exit the motorway at the Poznań Wschód junction onto the S5 route (direction Gniezno, Bydgoszcz) should use the southern road, normally intended for driving towards Warsaw. From the left lane, running along the northern road (“against traffic”), it will not be possible to exit at the Poznań Wschód junction to the S5 road.
