Commencing Monday, 31 March, the organization of traffic between Krzyżowniki/Tulce Rest Area and the Poznań Wschód interchange (km 177 and km 180 of the A2 motorway) will change. Road workers begin the extension of the motorway by a 3rd lane in the next section, therefore, already on Saturday, 29 March there will be elements of the temporary traffic organization introduced. Please drive carefully, pay attention and obey traffic organization signs.
This Saturday, 29 March, between km 177 and km 180 of the A2 motorway, temporary lanes will be set up for vehicles traveling on the motorway, warning signs will be installed, as well as regulatory signs related to the ongoing works. Since 31 March, the following traffic organization will be in place in the area:
- Between km 177 and 179 km, vehicle traffic will be diverted entirely to the southern carriageway of the Motorway, where 4 lanes will be identified. Two lanes in the Warsaw bound direction and two lanes in the Świecko bound direction (“counterflow” in a sense) with a ban on trucks in the left lanes in both directions (Warsaw and Świecko). The emergency lane will not be available. There will be a speed limit of 50 and 60 km/h at the crossover location.

- Between km 179 and km 180, at the Poznań Wschód interchange, on the southern carriageway, two lanes will be available to vehicles heading toward Warsaw (the right lane will be kept for exiting the motorway onto the S5 expressway to Gniezno) and one for vehicles heading to Świecko. Vehicles entering the motorway from the direction of Gniezno will be routed in one lane, which will be directed to the southern carriageway. It should be noted that heavy vehicles traveling towards Świecko from the direction of Warsaw will have to change the lane to the right one, as shown on the appropriate signs ahead. The will be no emergency lane on both carriageways.

- Around km 177 (approaching the Krzyżowniki/Tulce Rest Area), traffic heading towards Świecko will be shifted to the northern carriageway.

Works are still underway between km 171 and km 176 (between the Poznań Krzesiny interchange and the Krzyżowniki/Tulce Rest Area). Drivers have two lanes in each direction – three lanes on the northern carriageway and one on the southern carriageway, according to the scheme already in place:
- In the section between km 171 and km 176 direction Warsaw, vehicles are driving in one lane on the southern carriageway. The emergency lane is not available
- Drivers heading towards Warsaw also have one lane routed on the northern carriageway, usually available for the direction to Świecko (they drive “counterflow”), in the section between km 171 and km 176
- Drivers traveling in the direction to Świecko have two lanes on the northern carriageway in this section, with a ban on trucks in the left lane. The emergency lane is not available.
- Around km 176, traffic in the direction to Warsaw is diverted to the southern carriageway.

In the section where road works are being performed between km 171 and km 176 as well as between km 177 and km 180 of the A2, the speed limit will be 80 km/h, while in crossover locations the limits will be 60 and 50 km/h. Please drive carefully, pay attention to the signs, adjust your speed and maintain the distance between vehicles, according to the regulations.
Every effort is being made to ensure that the construction is carried out in an efficient, timely manner and with as little inconvenience to drivers as possible. Please bear the safety of road workers in mind. Their safety depends also on the drivers’ behavior.
See Slow down
Behind the barriers separating traffic from the construction site, it is not only machines that are working, it is people, in the first place. The site has been designed and secured with special care, and the works have been planned in accordance with requirements and rules to ensure the safety of workers. However, let us remember that drivers also have an impact on the workers’ safety. That is why we advocate safe driving, adjusting speed, obeying road signs and staying alert. Together let us ensure the safety of road workers during the works.
